Guys,

Have a 73 Mach and want to put on a 1971 Mach front end and seen that the front fenders and rear quarters are shown as different from 71-73.

Does anyone know what the difference is and are they completely interchangeable from 71-73.

'71 and '72 were the same in '73 Ford went to a 5 mile per hour crash bumper and the entire car is about 4-5 inches longer..sheet metal on fenders is different I would think the quarters would be also

So do you think that all the 71 stuff will fit on the 73 car as long as I get all 71 front end parts?? That is what I am thinking of doing.

You know, from pics that I have seen, the 1973 has more cutout for bumper clearance on the quarters. But all the bumpers I have seen seem to look the same??

Yes the 71 front end will bolt up properly to the 73 you just have to change all the bolt on stuff from the 73 over to 71-72 except for the hood. the difference in the rear quarters is in the bumper cut out, you are correct in thinking that the bumpers are the same. Ford added a body colored pad to the ends of the quarters that fit behind the bumper.
