My October 1964 2+2 does not have them.

 

My October 64 Dearborn built fastback doesn't have them either.

I have seen them in 66's, maybe late 65's had them as well.

 

Both of Mine are 1965's fastback, poppy red has them, Wimbleton white does not, I replaced the headliners and the white one did not have holes for screws

 

Mine is a 65 and no coat hooks.

My fastback schedule date is Oct 20, 1964 at San Jose and it does not have the holes for the coat hooks. Evidently that is not unusual. I'll just throw my coat in the back seat.

I have had several 65 fastbacks over the years, the only one I had with the coat hooks also had the deluxe interior, but that may not mean anything

 

My Oct '65 1966 San Jose built fastback has them.

 

My July '66 Metuchen FB does not have them. Dean

 

Wow, I didn't know there was such a variance on coat hooks in early Mustangs. I always assumed all Mustangs got coat hooks. I wonder if anyone has ever done any research on which cars got 'em and which didn't.
